Presentations:
Saturday March 15, 10 AM: Trish Kaufmann will present “The Springfield Facsimiles of Confederate Postage Stamps plus a brief TASCO History.” This will mark the first time that this new presentation will be made available to the public.
Saturday, March 15, 2 PM: Society members will have a chance to show off their most prized possession in a presentation called “My Favorite Cover.” This will be an opportunity for members to display and describe their favorite Civil War cover. A scan of the actual cover will be shown onscreen for the member to talk about. Interested members are asked to send a 300-dpi scan of their favorite cover to secretary@civilwarphilatelicsociety.org by January 15th, 2025. Please consider sharing one of your treasures with the group.
Following the Cover presentations, Frank Crown will present – “How the Augusta, GA post office reopened under federal control in 1864 and 1865”
